I hope you'll take a few moments to read some of the great things my clients have had to say about me.

"I am one of the converted...I have to confess that when I went into the six-week "boot camp" experience I read about (on this listserv) earlier this summer, I was more than a little trepidatious. I had no idea who this "Pete" guy was and I hadn't been active in too many years. In fact, before I agreed to anything, I sent a little note to the poor, patient "Pete" with whom I was willing to work and sweat at 6:15 am:
"...I'd like to sign up for boot camp. Here's the full disclaimer part -- I'm only minimally fit. I used to be fit, but two children and a LOT of excuses later and I'm about 25 lbs beyond where I'd like to be. I hope that you'll be OK with my inclination to do as much as I can... I'm all about commitment and consistency, but I am old enough (48) to recognize and honor my boundaries. So, there you have it. I hope you'll have a little corner for me, my mat, hand weights and water bottle."

And you know what? I LOVED it! There were a variety of ages and fitness levels; there was (is) an atmosphere of encouragement and energy without the barking stereotype of a drill sergeant, and Pete has a thoroughly professional understanding of what it means to be a trainer and instructor. So, guess what? Pete's going another round. I'm a convert -- you know I'm signing up for another 20 sessions. I heartily encourage you to consider doing the same."

Pete,

Just a quick note to say how much I think you are adding and benefiting the fencing students, not just on the fitness level, but how you address the mental endurance of hard stuff, the way you evade power struggles with the students and the general demeanor you have with the class and the structure is on target with what our group needs.  I am greatly appreciative and many people have commented on what a find you are to be working with our club.

Thanks so much again.

Hi Pete,

I hope you are happy at your new place.I wanted to let you know you are greatly missed.I truly enjoyed and benefitted from our workout sessions. You have a very special talent for not only making your student work hard, but making it very fun so they stay motivated. I still don’t believe I actually was looking forward to working with you outdoors at 7:00 in the morning in the cold or the rain, especially when I knew my butt was going to be kicked.I know for fact I felt a lot better working an hour with you than going to gym 3 times a week.

Keep up the good work and hope to see you soon.

I have been training with Pete Earsman for more than 2 years now and my body has never looked better! Although we have been working out together for quite a while he has always been able to keep the exercises creative and challenging while also keeping my long term fitness goals in mind. So the workouts are actually a lot of fun! I really like Pete's ability to remain flexible with my training: he quickly caught on that I did not enjoy running so he introduced me to boxing! It's a great aerobic workout without the boredom of running and it quickly became my favorite activity! We usually train outside which I enjoy much more than a crowded gym and he has found a great number of exercises that use minimal equipment but allows us to achieve maximum all over results - no lugging equipment! Just bring my yoga mat, a bottle of water, and show up and Pete will take care of the rest. Rain or shine he has never once been late or had to cancel a workout schedule. If Pete still lived in the area I would still be working out with him today!

Hello Pete,

I just wanted to shoot you a message thanking you for all your help with my training, especially with the boxing . It's been tough without your personal and fun motivation, but I'm sticking to it and my form is getting better and better with each week.  Your instruction, techniques and motivation has definitely taken my training to the next level.  I can't thank you enough.  I even had to buy a new swivel for the speed bag, so that has to be a good sign!

Again, thank you for being a great instructor and keeping me on my toes!  I wish you all the best and hope to train with you again possibly next summer!  2011 watch out!

Take care Pete!
